The series welcomes scholarly monographs and edited volumes in Greek or English within its scope. Submit through the AURA Supplements online submission system. For questions about the suitability of a proposed volume, contact aura@arch.uoa.gr. An edited-volume submission should identify the volume editors and include a contents list and the authors of each chapter.
Manuscript preparation
Submit the editable manuscript in Microsoft Word or OpenDocument format. Use Times New Roman; for polytonic Greek, use a Unicode font such as New Athena Unicode.
Provide an English abstract of up to 200 words and, where possible, a Greek abstract. Include the volume title, keywords, contents, chapter titles and contributor details in the submission metadata or a separate title file.
Use 12-point text with double spacing and 10-point footnotes with single spacing. Use author–date references in the text, with a bibliography containing only works cited. Follow the AJA reference conventions linked below.
For double-blind review, remove names, affiliations, acknowledgements and identifying file metadata from the review manuscript. Supply author and editor information separately.
Indicate the intended position of figures in the manuscript. Supply captions as a separate list and upload publication-quality figures separately, preferably PNG, TIFF, PSD, AI or EPS; avoid JPEG compression. A resolution of at least 300 dpi is recommended where appropriate. Name files with the author's surname and figure number. Figures embedded in Word or PowerPoint are not a substitute for original image files; a ZIP archive may be used for the image set.
Provide appendices, catalogues and other supporting material where necessary. Obtain permission for all third-party material, including its distribution in an open-access publication.
The work is original, has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere, unless any exception has been disclosed to the editors.
The submission is an editable Word or OpenDocument manuscript and follows the AURA Supplements author guidelines.
The review manuscript and file metadata have been anonymised; author/editor details, contents and chapter contributors are supplied separately.
References, figure captions and separate publication-quality images are complete; necessary permissions for third-party material have been obtained.
All contributors approve the submission, and any conflicts of interest are disclosed.
